Steam for Linux Cilent Release Date?

I know that its coming "Valve Time" at the end of this year, but when exactly? Sometime this month? December? Any input would be MUCH obliged!

It goes out of beta when it's ready.
Some say around Feb. of next year.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah, Valve has a pretty strict when it's ready policy, the end of the year date was a while ago and the beta started late so I severely doubt the client will be released this year, I do think we will see a true open beta by the end of the year though

Open Beta: Mid-December
Full Release: February/March

I think it also depends on how soon AMD releases its 12.11/12 driver that would finally work with Steam.

I do not think beta will be ending soon, judging by the unfinished state the client is in.

I think open beta before the end of the year, hope they add more games (CS:S, CS:GO, L4D etc) :)
