Steam for Linux

Anyone active testing Red Orchestra: Ostfront 1941-45?
Well, as it is included in the beta for a while now, i'd like to know if anyone in the closed beta is actively bug testing this title?
I couldn't find too much of feedback outside the beta for the Linux client, at least a few guys reported some issues here:

http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=85291

I know that RO:OST has a somewhat overlookable playerbase these days, but considering that this excellent title will be released on Linux (and as it looks like, on OS-X too, soon) as well as it still has a small but dedicated playerbase both in the stock game and it's mods (Darkest Hour) i really would love to see more life in the testing crowd.

There seem to be a few issues in browsing online servers within the client related to the latest general RO:OST update and related to the need of server admins to update their servers as well, which are being looked at by TWI:

http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=85457

Also, chances are not too bad that both of the excellent mods out there (Mare Nostrum and Darkest Hour) might see their life on Steam for Linux & Mac, as they basically just run natively with the RO:OST Linux client and just would need steamworks integration:

Well, anyone in the closed beta and not owning RO:OST who is willing to give it a try: pm me, i might consider gifting it ;)

Is there something like Guest pass, same as in Killing Floor?
I have 2x guest passes if anybody wants them. It's a really great game.

I was considering getting this game to play on my notebook, please could I have a guest pass? :)
I've got it installed and been playing it. Usually in practice mode though. So far its been working great. One thing I did notice though is that sniper rifle zoom comes up either black or weird textures. Happens in Killing Floor as well.

Yeah, this seems to be quite an old issue for the Linux and Mac folx (goes back to the days when RO was a mod for UT2004), still i can't remember anymore what exactly was causing this. As far as i remember it got fixed by icculus back then with some of the latest 3369 UT updates.

Easy workaround for now would be just to use the sniper scope in textured mode (none of the 3D models), but of course a real fix would be great, as the 3D scopes are a bit nicer to use (seeing what is happening around u in combat while sniping).

Also, i'd really like to know if anybody else here is experiencing the same issues i have with the MG34 and DP28 models while having motion blur enabled:

Or if it is just me.

And if anyone here still does not own RO:OST and is interested to give it a try on Linux: Feel free to add/ pm me :)

Check yer invites ;)
Btw, the issues with the scope models seem to be related to motion blur as well, at least when i turn that option off i have no serious problems with scope models as well as with the mg animations.
I really hope RO2 will be ported to linux...
I wouldn't hold my breath too much on that, as the current UDK still does not support Linux:

But at least the recently (fall 2011) added OS-X and Android support gives some hope :)
Still have a few copies to gift for dedicated Linux testers!

After buying Tripwire Interactive Bundle i also have 2 guest pass for KF and Red Orchestra (2 keys for each game).
If somebody interested - you can add me in steam and i will give them to you.

I can help testing. But I'm not in the closed beta.
