Yeah, this seems to be quite an old issue for the Linux and Mac folx (goes back to the days when RO was a mod for UT2004), still i can't remember anymore what exactly was causing this. As far as i remember it got fixed by icculus back then with some of the latest 3369 UT updates.
Easy workaround for now would be just to use the sniper scope in textured mode (none of the 3D models), but of course a real fix would be great, as the 3D scopes are a bit nicer to use (seeing what is happening around u in combat while sniping).
Also, i'd really like to know if anybody else here is experiencing the same issues i have with the MG34 and DP28 models while having motion blur enabled:

Or if it is just me.
And if anyone here still does not own RO:OST and is interested to give it a try on Linux: Feel free to add/ pm me :)
Can I have one please? :)
Check yer invites ;)

But at least the recently (fall 2011) added OS-X and Android support gives some hope :)
If somebody interested - you can add me in steam and i will give them to you.
I can help testing. But I'm not in the closed beta.
