Predicted download times are way off.

This is definitely not the first thing that I would be fixing, but it is probably a quick fix so I will point it out. I have noticed Steam predicts that a game will take 4-5 hours to download and then takes less than 10 minutes. Is anyone else seeing the same thing? I don't remember having this problem when I had my Windows install.

Windows Steam asks for connection speed and the Linux version does not. But you can change the settings of course later.

i have a DSL connection and im still downloading Serious Sam 3, it gave me remaining time of 2 days, and 2 hours or something close. But visually when i started the download it just said 2 hours and 40 mins, the 2 days disappeared but it still taking me almost 2 days :p

Yeah, it looks like the Linux version assumes 56K dial up connection by default. Just go to Steam > Settings > Download + Cloud and change your connection speed for better estimates.

is it just me or is the download + cloud tab not there anymore? they are broken into two tabs, and neither has the option to change your connection speed, just the option to limit your download speed.
