Valve contributions to open source projects
Is Valve contributing any code back to the open source community with the advent of their software on GNU/Linux?

They helped with all the videodrivers. Intel ones are open-source.

Same people at Valve were already working on SDL, however they have been recently making commits to SDL with valvesoftware.com domain under the name of 2 Valve employees Michael Sartain and Sam Lantinga (Sam has worked on SDL for a long time now).
