[Issue Report] Bluetooth Headset and Steam Voice Settings
I have a bluetooth headset (Motorola HK 100) with both a microphone and ear bud speaker(like the type you use with a cell phone). In the Steam voice settings, it is possible to set the microphone to the headset, however, the audio comes over the speakers attached to the sound card. This causes a feedback loop as the headset picks up the audio from the speakers.

If this is of interest to Steam folks, it is relatively easy to request echo cancellation on specific streams using PulseAudio. I'd be happy to provide more details.

If your using Ubuntu. Get pavucontrol (pulse audio vu control). It's a program that will allow you to set the output of any program to any sound device connected. (provided the program uses pulse. Most programs do, few use ALSA directly)

@HornetBlack: TYVM for the tip. This does indeed solve the issue. Would be rather nice though if there were a way to do it through Steam.
