[BUG] Unable to navigate to "community" tab in Big Picture Mode
Just a non-tester bug report, since I'm not in the beta forum:

When using a joystick in Big Picture Mode, I cannot move the curser over to the Community tab on the main screen (Store Library Community). Using the mouse to click on the tab works, but joystick does not.

AMD Phoenom X2
4GB ram
Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit - Gnome Shell edition.
Radeon HD 5770 w/ latest Catalyst from repositories.

It's not only with joysticks or UBUNTU....other distros are also affected AFAIK.

Also, the problem also happens with gamepads and even cursor keys of keyboard....

None of those can select the Community tab...only the mouse can.

Big picture works really well with a mouse....if you are in your living room, try to use a wireless mouse ...use your jeans pants as a mouse pad as you are seated in the couch :D

It works very well this way...

Big Picture is a nice interface...even in a 1280x1024 (5:4) like mine...in a 1080p should be very good :)

I guess this bug is confirmed then.

And yes, BPM really is a nice interface. I have a custom XBMC based HTPC that I'll most likely put Steam on. It should work awesome.

I'm also building a kinda of a hybrid HTPC/Low_range_Gaming_Rig with a Mini-ITX MB and a Intel G630T 35W TDP with 8 or 16GB DDR3 RAM 1333MHz ....

I wanted to make it totally fanless but i don't know if it's possible as a gaming rig....i'm also thorn to use or not a fanless video card...that would make the case bigger than i wanted...

There is some interesting low noise and low profile fans like one from GELID....and i could be crazy enough to try also an Dynatron or Akasa full copper fanless low profile heatisink like these:

http://www.dynatron-corp.com/en/product_detail_1.aspx?cv=1-4-281&id=190&in=0#

or in special this :

http://www.akasa.com.tw/update.php?tpl=product/cpu.product.tpl&no=181&type=CPU%20coolers&type_sub=Low%20Profile&model=AK-CC7111

These were made for servers but i wonder if they can handle the heat of a 35W TDP at full charge. when gaming...they were made for server CPUs with a TDP way above but servers are not always at full power...

Those would work great, but having airflow across them at the right angle would be crucial.
AJSB Nov 9, 2012 @ 4:12am
The solution is a case that is installed in the vertical....the case should have lots of air flow vents in the sides so that when case is in the vertical position instead of horizontal, it forms a vertical air flow that will pass the blades of the heatsink that should have of course be installed in the MB with the blades oriented in the vertical....

I found some cases that would do just that....

Notice however than mounting a PCI-E video card will interfere with the airflow....so, in this situation , we should use only the integrated graphics GPU...

This is one reason i'm delaying this project....i want to see final specs of Intel Valley View CPUs that should have Intel HD 4000 graphics...

Sounds good. Hopefully the fix the navigation bug soon. I'm sure they will, it's only the first public release after all.

Also, you can't leave Beta label in corner, with left button press, only down.

I have also noticed this problem on Arch linux with a gamepad.

It sounds like it's something that affects all BPM users in Linux. Is this actually working for anyone?
