Installing Chris'f FPS config on Linux
Hey guys,
So recently, I've been taking up TF2 on Linux give it a try. However, I get terrible frames and I tried installing Chris's fps config the windows way (copying config files to tf2 custom folder and adding steam properties for TF2), but it doesn't seem to work, so I was just wondering if there was another way to install it on linux. It would be great if you guys could help out!

You have to put it in your …SteamApps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/cfg/autoexec.cfg

are you referring to the files downloaded from chris's website?

Yes. But be aware that the configs are no longer maintained.
For example this config for maxframes[github.com] has to be in this directory:
…SteamApps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/cfg/
and you have to name it
autoexec.cfg
This will execute the config everytime you start TF2.

Yes, that is correct.

You only need to do that for custom files like hitsounds or custom HUDs, etc.
