Open message to all games developers
Attention all you developers out there, Start supporting Linux right now or you are going to lose customers RAPIDLY! I for one refuse to buy any more games if they don't support Linux on Day one.

You have been warned!

Some games dont support PC...
Any way if you want do it... but inteal most of the users in the world will not move to Lunix and stop useing Windows then there is less of a market for them in the linux any way... and to make the game for more then OS means it cost them more and less profit... so even if you dont buy it and some more they my profit more from not makeing a linux versin and loseing you then to make it for Linux

It is growing, didn't you see the Valve announcement? http://store.steampowered.com/livingroom/
Valve says expanding but its a synonym for growing.

Message to Robert

Unfortunately one Linux buyer is less valuable than 200 Windows buyers. Your platform is still small and we're not intimidated by your words.
Instead of bashing on developers you should raise your hands and say "Thank you" to those companies who already are porting their games and do better to convince big players (like EA, for example) to port their games. You should also think that developers alone don't do much, they need money and publishers backup to develop/port/create good Linux titles and it's not their fault that most big companies don't want to port their games to Linux.
So how about doing something good to the Linux community instead of complaining to the people who have nothing to do with the fact that there are not manny good games on Linux?

Over-excited Valve fanboys are not 'the linux community'.

The true Linux community does not want closed software running on their personally tuned rigs.

Please keep this statement to yourself. I don't want the community to be represented in such a "threating" tone and with such an impolite attitude.

You are not helping, quite the opposite.

It's not a threat it's a promise, Windows is on it's way out & when the Windows only developers have nothing to develop for they'll go out of business like they deserve unless they grow up & join the future of gaming which is Linux.

ps. I'm not a Valve fanboy.

What? how is windows on its way out?
Canti 2 okt 2013 om 4:40vm
Linux has a long way to go before replacing Windows. Even if it becomes a viable gaming platform, Windows will still hold a huge advantage in terms of software availability. Even OSX is further ahead and in theory, Apple is in a much better position than Linux to take market share away from Microsoft.

Actually, I disagree. Linux is more than capable of replacing windows, but the users need to be sophisticated enough to use Linux rather windows.

Having said that Linux is getting better and better packaging every day, thus it is entire possible to see it replacing windows.

You totally contradict yourself there.

The fact that it is a more difficult OS to get used to compared to others, or "sophisticated" if you want to use that word, is one of the many weaknesses that will always keep it restricted to a niche crowd.

It isn't capable of replacing anything if no-one is prepared to invest time into learning how to use it. I only know the basic usage because it's required as part of my job, I'd never dream of using a desktop Linux distro on my own hardware.
