[SOLVED] Settings won't save
I seem to be unable to make any changes to the settings. For example, when I activate timestamps for chat, it doesn't work. When I open "Settings" again, it is unchecked. Same goes for every other setting. And game groups.

I checked all file permissions, everything seems to be in order.

Ubuntu 12.04, 64bit

This seems to be the important message:

KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got EOF instead of keyname in file UserLocalConfigStore [offset: 81920] UserLocalConfigStore, Licenses, 11651, (*98200*), (*OverlayCDKeyDisable*), (*NameHistory*), KeyValues Error: RecursiveLoadFromBuffer: got EOF instead of keyname in file UserLocalConfigStore [offset: 81920] UserLocalConfigStore, (*Licenses*), (*11651*), (*98200*), (*OverlayCDKeyDisable*), (*NameHistory*), /home/buildbot/buildslave_steam/steam_rel_client_ubuntu12_linux/build/src/tier1/../tier1/KeyValues.cpp (2403) : Assertion Failed: Error while parsing text KeyValues for resource UserLocalConfigStore

Ha, found it. (Should have started from console and google it earlier):

This is something like a corrupt localconfig.vdf file, it should be in Steam/userdata/*/config/. If you make a backup of that file and then delete it and restart steam, does this issue (and #2282) fix itself?
