Oblivion style game for Linux
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows of an Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion style game that is available for linux?

I dont want to use wine, so native is what i am looking for.

I tried legend of grimrock, but its not what i had in mind (that was more dungeon roamer move 1 square at a time type game).

any thoughts?

Soon as i build one there will be!
Wait for https://openmw.org/en/ to complete their project and play that?
Doesnt open morrowind require the original game to play?
Yeah, but it's like xLava's Jedi Knight ports, so it's still native.
I remember Runes of Magic has web-browser version. I past two years of amazing gaming with this, but never tried this mode... and is a more WoW-style game.
Yes we have StarWars Now :)
Will the Steam version of MW work with Open Morrowind?

According to the site yeah, but you'd have to buy the game in Wine. It may be cheaper to just buy the boxed version somewhere, they can't be going for more then $5 anywhere these days due to how old the game is now. It apparently also works with the expansion packs.

What you need from the install is the game data files and art assets. From what I gather OpenMW then apparently replaces the engine with their own fer improved version that fixes a bunch of bugs in the original one and replaces the old DX8.1 renderer with one that makes use of all the new fangled shaders from OpenGL3.0+ to pretty up the game a bit.

I wonder if they'll add tessellation at some point.
