Easy Netflix on Linux in browser

Not a Steam issue, but one that stops people from switching to Linux. A new option from the makers of Netflix-desktop, have not tested extensively but once installed seems to work as well as windows. Follow full instructions as there is a final step to trick Netflix into thinking you are using windows

I don't understand why someone would develop something with Silverlight to begin with, when you can use Flash or HTML5. Even Flash would have been better.

Aye - It is indeed due to DRM, that Netflix isn't on Linux yet (through HTML5).
'Premium Video Extensions' are being worked on, which is a set of 3 extensions. I think Chrome already has the two of them, and for some odd reason, Netflix worked with MS, to make the IE11 browser capable of using HTML5 playback.
I'd say that it'd make more sense to work with Google or Mozilla, as they provide browsers for all platforms.

Moonlight actually does not work with Netflix because of DRM

moonlight doesnt work because ms never gave them the proper binaries for the copy right protection on the streams.

Requires Wine to run, I'll wait and find other methods till there is something native that isn't based on Adobe or Microsoft tech.

Gutigen, you're right. This really doesn't belong here, but I'm not removing it because it may help to sway people over to using the product.

It is, but a lot of questions people seem to post here are on if they should switch over to Linux, and problems they have in the switch. I know running Netflix on my Linux side was a major pain for me, and I figure if I can help people who have switched run a major feature on their desktop I can help encourage adoption.
