Oh, wow. That's a rather big title to be getting a Linux version.

Hope if it's coming that it's a native port, not wine

I think Steam only allows native ports. I'm thinking of the Limbo port here.

WOW!

I thought this must be a joke leading to some petition, but that's really great news.
Is this the first title one could consider Triple-A which was not made by Valve?
I will buy.

I was on the fence about getting it, but now... once it's officially on linux, I'll get it for sure. I just want to make sure it's recorded as a linux purchase

yah same here , I want to wait and make sure it counts as a linux purchase, then I will buy.

If this is true, then this is amazing news!
Thing is, Metro is one of those really high end graphics games, I only hope that the devs try their best to get dx11 graphics running on openGL

There's OpenGL 4.x which is just as powerful as DX11. The problem will come from the devs having to learn OpenGL which is not as easy to use as DX.

You say it is 'Coming' but the article says it has arrived?

:) Nevermind.. I have seen it in the Linux DB. http://steamdb.info/app/43160/ looks like it is coming soon to linux!

Phoronix doesn't really fact check.

Like with every game, it will take some time to dripple in.

A while back they claimed Portal 2 had been released for Linux, which still didn't happen.

The update in phoronix' news really looks like they did check their facts, at least this time.
(And everybody should know by now that it takes some time for new games to dripple in from being in the database to being able to start the game.)
BTW, I did not find the "Portal 2 released" message you mentioned, could you please link it?
