Anybody else waiting in Dota 2 download queue?
I've been waiting for like a week; they keep saying they'll notify me by email when I can download. I thought it would take a few hours, a day at most. Anybody else having this problem?

It took some days for me, and I didn't get a notification. But I could download at some point.

you can change the server you're on

Set your Steam client to "Beta participation" btw. I had similar issues until I got the newest Steam version. Now it runs fine.

You can change teh Steam version in the client settings to "Beta participation". Not sure if that has any effect, but maybe triggers a missing update for you. Otherwise reinstall the steam client.

As I write it. I remeber that I changed my LAN network settings from DHCP to a static IP some days ago. Also installed a local DNS-Proxy (pdnsd). Maybe these actions fixed my truely slow download rate back to the native one.

I've been waiting for a few days and managed to get from 5 digits to 4 digits (< 8000).
But it slowed down last couple of days and hardly moves now.
I guess Valve can't keep up configuring new servers.

it's not the download rate that's messing up, it's our slot in the queue. We have to wait to even be allowed to download it.

use the shop site of dota 2. at the "buy" or get button your actually state in the queue should be listed there.
