Is there a Crusader Kings 2 launch screen for Linux
Hi all, I'm trying to play some mods for CK2 and from what I tell there's supposed to be a launcher screen where you can select mods (and DLC) before fully booting into the game. However, that launcher screen has never shown up for me. I'm wondering if other people who play CK2 on Linux have seen this launcher screen or not. For me it just goes directly into the full game, which means I can't select mods (like the Game of Thrones mod). I look in ".local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Crusader Kings II/launcher" and I see launcher.cfg and maclauncher.cfg files, so I'm wondering if there is just no launcher for Linux... which would kind of suck in a game that otherwise supports Linux so fully.

There is no official launcher, but you can still play mods:

./ck2 -mod=mod/<MOD_FILE>
e. g. ./ck2 -mod=mod/A\ Game\ of\ Thrones.mod

There are also unofficial launchers like https://github.com/sxxx/Qt-CK2-Launcher
-> check the paradox forums for more.

Thanks so much for this helpful response joe. Unfortunately the launcher almost but didn't quite work for me. I posted about my problem here: http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?660805-Qt-Alternative-CK2-Launcher&p=15786895#post15786895

I'm not entirely clear what your first recommendation was though. Are you telling me to run that in a terminal?

Nevermind. I think I got it working with the terminal command! Thanks so much.

you say you changed the paths to:

pathSteam=/home/home/.local/share/Steam/
pathGame=/home/home/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Crusader Kings II/

but where exactly did you input that? (sorry ima linux newb). Also, hen hit "start CK2" the launcher closes and nothing happens. can you explain step by step how you did that (sorry again for my newb questions lol)
