What is the default directory for games in ubuntu
HI, i have problems with ubuntu in version 12.04 lts, but i can't open steam, but i have team fortress and i dont want erase the game, prefer change the directory and save in a copy security, but i dont know what is the default directory, you can help me? and other question, how do change the directory of games and mount in another directory of original directory, thanks if you can help me, my englsih is so bad excuse me

use http://linux.die.net/man/1/ln
use ln to make a link, like a shortcut in windows, you can actually do this in windows as well
with mklink

Or did you mean actually move the folder that is with mv.

http://linux.die.net/man/1/find
find / -name 'steam' -type d
find <starting dir> -name or -iname (to ignore case) <name> then -type with <type> d in this case for directory/ f for files

~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps

IF I RECALL CORRECTLY
I know for sure it's in a subfolder of ~/.local/
