1440p @ CS 1.6
So installing Mint 15 and messing around I have two issues:

1.) Using the freeware Novo Nvidia drivers seem to work. However switching to any of the other 6 options listed gives me a black screen when I reboot. All of the other options come from Nvidia and one is "recommended." All of the give me a black screen after I restart.

a. How can I get an official Nvidia driver to not suck ♥♥♥♥
b. How can I boot in some type of safe mode and change the driver back

2.) When I tried to play 1.6 All I could select was the defualt 4:3 1024xxxx resolution.
There was no widescreen option present so I could take it to 2560x1440. I am able to do so in Windows.

Extra Credit: When is freaking CSGO and Dota2 coming to Linux.

Disabling sli might help, since sli performance is usually lower than a single card in Linux. Also try the latest beta drivers from Nvidia, since your card is still quite new.
