Steam Linux client.This is amazing.
I've been forced to use windows in my Home PC for years because I usually play tons of games. I have 63 steam games, even though only 3 are avaliable for linux now I believe this is huge start. Also installing the linux client was very easy, after a simple restart everything just went working. I aprove this so hard.

yes!!!! i even got out of gaming for a few years just bc i wanted to use windows as little as possible (still only use it for MSoffice at my job and itunes to sync my ipod), and now i'm super pumped. all i need is for banshee to improve their ipod/podcast stuff and libreoffice to be more msoffice compatible, and i'll never need windows again.

gPodder is a nice client for just downloading podcasts. You could use that to grab them, and then copy them however you copy stuff to an iDevice.

I know that problem, at least I got Windows for free through school. It would be awesome if we could download the windows games for running in wine without rebooting steam into wine tho.

Libreoffice 4.0 has quite some improvements on that

I quit using Windows back in 2008 when I discovered the sheer number of packages in Debian 5.0 testing. The Debian repo had everything I needed. Rebooting into Windows to play a few games but not have my other applicaitons avaliable was a hassle, so I just dumped Windows. Don't even get me started on how horrible the Windows disk i/o scheduler is.
