hey did you know to go into the nvidia xorg settings and change a switch for max performance.
Whats the change from 12.10 to 13? Anything new exciting or performance boosts?
rudeboyskunk Feb 17, 2013 @ 4:51am
Does it support legacy ATI driver??? for mobility 4200 series? That's why I didn't use 12.10, no support :(

I am sorry I cannot answer this question for you.

12.04 last support

13.04 has exactly same performance in games as 12.10 so far with good old GTS 250 and 313.18 drivers. Tested with Unigine Heaven, TF2, CS:S and Xonotic. Even Unity is exactly the same smooth as it was in 12.10 (tho some people say it's faster... dunno). But, I've tried Gnome Shell 3.7.4 too and I have to say that while gaming performance is same aswell, user interface is smooth as butter (haven't seen so smooth linux DE in my life). Can't wait for Ubuntu 13.04 Gnome Remix :)

I am using it, it is faster like 12.10.

I think that you have 5 or 10 fps more like in 12.10 in games

Please don't make me do it. I'm already itching to upgrade, but I have some bad experiences with alpha/beta versions.

Let me help you...
Synaptic just removed my whole desktop in 13.04 (from unity to calculator) :D
Forgot it's damn alpha and just cliked "accept" to everything without checking out what's going on lol.
