Official repos for other major distros?

Does Valve intend to support distros other than Ubuntu? I much prefer Fedora.

For Fedora use http://spot.fedorapeople.org/steam/, just download the steam.repo for Fedora (17 or 18) to /etc/yum.repos.d/

Steam runs on almost every linux distro, valve just focusses on getting the best experience on ubuntu 12.04 32 bit tho.

They already do support them with STEAM_RUNTIME which helps to make it more distro agnostic. There are official packages for every Disto already since Valve started to add a license that allows repackaging.
