Whenever you get the chance get it! It's totally worth it!
+1
I bought this game in the 2012 and store it in my inventory and today I add it to my library at last! :)
It downloads (it takes 1210 Mb on hdd), starts and works successfully on my system:
OS: Gentoo x64 (3.6.11 gentoo kernel)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 (3.2 GHz)
GPU: AMD (ATI) Radeon HD 5850
Desktop Env: KDE 4.9.5
X Server: xorg-server-1.13.1
Video Driver: Catalyst 13.1 (ati-drivers-13.1)
What's your performance like?
Awful performance here. The way the background scrolls when you move, you can see it drawing, it's like using the linux desktop without acceleration, like the default vesa driver.
I tested on 2 computers because I couldn't believe anyone would seriously release something in this state and ask for money.
I'm starting to think Valve's steam on linux is some kind of comic relief red nose day skit or sketch and I'm not in on the joke. Is Gabe going to jump out from behind the sofa soon and say "Gotya!" ? if not, they've got a lot of front.
I pity anyone paying money for these games that doesn't have an alternative OS to play them on if they were hoodwinked into believing it was ready for launch.
