Tripwire Interactive games - too many Windows DLLs
I wonder, why Killing Floor, RedOrchestra Ostfront and Dwarfs?! have too many Windows files if they are Linux native ?

Dwarfs?! have executable file "DwarfsLinux.exe".

Their games are also incredibly slow on Linux - And I will not pay for something like hidden Wine.

What this all mean?

It looks like they package the game with all its executables for all platforms. Killing Floor and Red Orchestra work great for me. What's your specs?

Dwarfs?! uses .Net, so the Linux.exe is expected.. :(

As for the other files, it would be worth contacting TripWire if you think their linux depots could be smaller.

I have a laptop with:
AMD A6 Quadcore 1.4GHz (turbo core 2.3GHz)
RAM 4GB 1333MHz
AMD Radeon HD 6470M 1GB
1366x768

Killing Floor on Windows - max details with AA
Killing Floor on Linux - low settings, only indoor maps like "Biotic Labs" or "Aperture", extreme lags in outdoor maps

And I found a lot of Windows files in all Twipwire's games. I just had a suspicion that their games aren't native.

I will try to remove these Windows files.

Oh don't tell me that they just used WINE...

no, Killing Floor and Red Or.. are both native.
Unreal Engine tends to bundle a lot of crap in their system/ dir.
