Steam broken on my OpenSuse 12.2

Steam doesn't run since the update today on my Ubuntu 12.2.

Did well, did run until 30 min when i came home and updated it.
Reinstall didn't fixed nothing.

Any Ideas?

Please try this: open a terminal window and type:

STEAM_RUNTIME=0 steam

And see if that runs. Thanks.

Hi.
Thanks for the support.
After the tag you posted, i got an error linked to "libXdmcp".
After i installed LibXdmcp6-32bit (the 64-bit vers was allrdy installed) I'm able now to start steam and login as long as i use STEAM_RUNTIME=0.
When i don't use it, steam still stop after i see a bit of the "Updating Steam" window.
Since i use Steam mainly as a chat-client on this machine, i'm satisfied-
thank you :)

edit: Just Downloaded and Installed CS 1.6 - works as well, perfect :)

However, here is the terminal output if you have any use for it (btw. i'm using xfce - especially the warning about clearlooks might be linked to this, i had them allrdy before iirc)

Today I used this, and I do not get the message, your package is out of date anymore.

I have the same problem. I've solved it by running 'xhost +' before running steam (which is not good solution). Maybe it helps you to identify the issue.

As far as I understand this, it means your steam uploaded a crash report.
You could post this on the github.

Looks like latest version of steam tries to use something like chroot.
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-runtime
to make it cross-disto. Thats why steam crashes.
