64bit libraries in CS 1.6?!
I download the Counter-Strike 1.6 for linux and i noted that in the dlls folder (valve keep the same name) there is the dll for windows, the .dylib for osx, and the two .so for linux.

The cs.so and the cs_amd64.so!

And if you set the cs_amd64.so in liblist.gam for linux the game works too...

I think that means that in future valve will release steam and other games is in 64bit... Or means nothing! :)

What do you think?

EDIT: The Half-Life has 64bit libraries also...

Would be cool even if it doesn't dramatically benefit the game. I'm so happy that CS made it native to Linux it can address all of my 8 GB of RAM if it wants to. :)

16GB of RAM here. 12 of those gigabytes are saying "come at me, Valve!"
