Half-Life (beta)
I just saw this in my library list. I'm downloading it now. I'm curious to find out if this is the Goldsrc version or the Source version.

It is the Goldsrc version. Wow! We are getting Goldsrc and Source games! I did not think that was going to happen. Unfortunately I get music but no sound effects. I am using a pure ALSA system with hardware mixing.
this is awesome!!! thanks for the info! now i cant get any sleep tonight because i have too try this out! :D
ı could not see it on my list. Is it removed?

Same here, I am getting creeped out without hearing the beautiful voice over the loud speaker during my ride on the transit system. Barney(s) don't say anything either. D:

I think it might be the way my OS is configured; TF2 gives me no sound what so ever.

I figured they'd want their entire back catalog on the Steam box :3
I can't get mine to launch at all. The process is active in my system monitor, but nothing happens. My status even says I'm playing a game and won't allow me to start another one until I kill hl_linux.

installed on 12.04 running more or less flawless. but i cannot look up or down oO
neither mouse, touchpad nor trackpoint do work. looking left/right is no problem and using the arrow-keys to look around works also.
Arch64 using awesomeWM and pulse and it works flawlessly for me as far as I can tell. The only thing that throws me off is the non-vanilla graphics.
Look up/down bug for me, too (chakra 64bit)
works on gentoo 64 with catalyst drivers and pure alsa. only thing that is not working is effect sounds. the ingame music works fine.
Just want to let you people know; PulseAudio is required. At least seems to be. Can't get the sound to run while running ALSA (Music may work, but nothing else). Hope this helps those who have audio trouble. (not sure if it is a bug, or intended)
