Workshop downloads items for uninstalled games

I use Steam Windows on my desktop PC and Steam Linux on my laptop. I've installed Killing Floor once on the last one, but deleted it shortly after that. However Steam Linux still tries to download workshop items for this game, that I subscribe (for my desktop PC), although Killing Floor isn't even in my "installed"-list. Does anybody experience similar issues?

Is there a way to deactivate Workshop-downloads for a single client? Of course I use the same account on both clients.

Sounds like a general Steam issue I've had a number of times when removing workshop games on my Windows client. This page should help:

For Linux your Steam installation directory is /home/[username]/.local/share/Steam by default.

Renaming the ClientRegistry.blob did not solve the problem. I'm currently testing to delete everything, but the and the steamapps directory...
...that seems to have worked, thanks!
