Massive input lag in TF2

I am experiencing important input lag, both keyboard and mouse lag. There is delay of about 0.5s between a keypress or mouse movement and the reaction on screen.

I have tried under ubuntu and xubuntu 12.10 with HD 7870 with beta 12.11 drivers and the new 13.1 drivers.

I have also tried a couple of options such as Vsync on and off, mouse filter, windowed or fullscreen, etc.

Other than that, the game seems to be running alright!

Anyone else has this problem?

You are right! I only started by disabling Catalyst A.I. and the lag went away, I will experiment with the other stuff!

Edit : You are also right in the fact that as soon I do something such as alt-tabbing or changing video options the input lag comes back.
