Lost Trine 2 progress due to last update
Title says it: I did the update, and now Trine 2 looks like started the first time.
Save game gone, achievements gone, ...

Can the save games be recovered?
Either way: How can I do backups before the next update?

Same here. I disabled Steam Cloud now, assuming it has anything to do with it. I already restarted my game from the beginning...

I'd suggest holding off from doing that though in case the saves can be recovered. In my case I imagine my saves are already overwritten now :C

Save game is gone, but not the achievements...

Well, I don't get what happened - but I just restarted the Steam client and the save game reappeared without damage. May be a Steam cloud temporary issue...

Last weekend, my Steam application and my Trine 2 save games repaired themselves. :-D

I've got still one question though...
How can I backup my save games?

i use the cloud syncin ... if you use local savegames there will be a directory (maybe in your home folder) where they will be stored in.
