Yep, Valve, Blizzard... I bet Crytek will join them too, since CryEngine 3 was already ported to Linux (for internal use testing). I wonder what Carmac is thinking now, in some interview when someone has asked him about Rage port to Linux, he said that there is no future for Linux gaming :D Can't find that article now tho.

Well, Blizzard didn't announce anything yet... Phoronix did. While it's true that Phoronix often has very good insights and excellent information, let's not jump to conclusions too soon :)
I would love to see some blizzard games ported!

Phoronix have a strong reputation. They usually don't spread rumours or gossip, even if their don't reveal they sources (for example when they went to valve offices).

So I don't see any problem trusting this announcement.

In the article he claims that he was at Blizzard's headquarters and a key employ said straight to him and showed him evidence that they were working on a Linux version of one of their games.

They already have a Linux version of WoW, also this is in the wrong forum section.

Edit: WoW Client is for internal usage.

Incorrect, it's in the "General Discussion" forum.

Lol i bet it's going to be Diablo 3, as their way of apologizing about banning linux users for playing it through wine.

SC2 makes the most sense since the new expansion supposedly will be released this year, SC2: Heart of the Swarm, now Korean teenagers can kick your ass in your choice OS

Me too. I own it but wouldn't play it. It would be acceptable as a little "Sorry for the crappy game... But at least we ported it to Linux for you people." Hardcore Diablo 2 + LoD gamer speaking here. I'm having way more fun with Torchlight 2 even after many hours.

After the scene where they let Deckard Cain get killed by a Butterfly in his livingroom I nearly uninstalled the game on my first playthrough.

WoW or SC2 I guess
Leaf [DG] 7 stycznia 2013 o 12:39
Please, please, please be SC2. As much as I support them coming to Linux, I would not want to play WOW or Diablo 3 even if it ran natively. Those just aren't genres I'm really interested in.
