I would love to see some blizzard games ported!
So I don't see any problem trusting this announcement.
In the article he claims that he was at Blizzard's headquarters and a key employ said straight to him and showed him evidence that they were working on a Linux version of one of their games.

Me too. I own it but wouldn't play it. It would be acceptable as a little "Sorry for the crappy game... But at least we ported it to Linux for you people." Hardcore Diablo 2 + LoD gamer speaking here. I'm having way more fun with Torchlight 2 even after many hours.
After the scene where they let Deckard Cain get killed by a Butterfly in his livingroom I nearly uninstalled the game on my first playthrough.
