Towns on Ubuntu 12.04

I've bought Towns a few days and I am facing issue, where the game starts (at least shows the window), but it doesn't start. It stays with a white/grey screen with no audio, and the game doesn't close.
This is my setup:
Ubuntu 12.04 32 bits (kernel: 3.2.0-35-generic-pae)
Java 1.7.0

I managed to run the game on my own, but not through Linux Steam. Probably a problem from Steam's UI.
Got some error logs here:

[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; Sys_LoadModule failed to load: /home/daniel/.steam/bin32/steamclient.so
[S_API FAIL] SteamAPI_Init() failed; unable to locate a running instance of Steam, or a local steamclient.dll.
[Jan 3, 2013 12:38:44 AM][Towns] Error converting property [SIEGES] with value [false] to a number. Returning default [2]

This is running on my own, without Steam, probably through Steam should have some kind of error, but they are suppressed.
