Steam Store DOTA2 page lists game as owned
As the title suggests I noticed the other day that the DOTA2 product page lists that title as owned already, yet I haven't purchased it and it doesn't show up in my library (even under all games). Is there some sort of promotion going on, or perhaps a beta I was some how invited to because of being in the limited Steam for Linux beta?

I mainly ask because I would love to play the game and was planning to purchase it early to get in on some of the early access holiday swag. If this is a mistake or that owned status is going to change I would like to know so I can get on with buying the game while that sweet sale is going on still today.

Hello.

I have 7 dota2 invites in my inventory and i'm willing to give those to any linux tinkerers in hope of the better gaming future.

If you or anyone recognised yourself from this and your willing to spend time and effort for making it work on your system and post your findings here, be sure to say it here, and ill try my best to give them on time.

For better future.

-Ubuntunoob crammed to Win7, solely for games.

EDIT: does not apply on China, and sorry for grammar-errors, not my native.

Just checked and it was the same for me, so I looked around the Internet.
Reading several links I assume it is just a spectator version. So to actually play you have to buy the game.
I can't guarantee, that this is true, but here are the links:

@th3voic3
Thanks for those links, they are probably right about the spectator version thing. So I think I should pop back into the store and pick the game up then, hard to beat %50 off + early promo items.

@pnq
Thanks for the generous offer, but I don't mind buying my own copy and supporting Valve for the great efforts they've taken towards improving the state of Linux gaming.

I'm willing to help people out when it comes to Linux gaming. I also like DotA 2 (and the genre in general) but I'm quite short on money, so may I have one invitation, please?
