Steam for Linux

Steam for Linux

Change "PC" to "Windows"
In the Steam store, one has three options to choose from for filtering games to buy. The options are PC, Mac, and Linux. Personally, I feel that PC covers all the platforms and that it should be changed to "Windows" now that Mac OS X support is here and Linux support is coming. I suppose I'm just being picky and all, but it would look more consistent. Thoughts?

I wonder, why does PC mean Windows?
PC is just hardware. You cannot run games on bare hardware, can you?
Google is your friend as to why PC means Windows based computer, and pc means personal computer.

Ikari Warriors. :p
This already has been discussed here before, and I totally agree.
This is so true. PC just means a computer you can buy and install what ever software and OS on you desire.
This also why Mac for the most parts is not reffered to as a PC, as you can't install Linux/windows on it out of the box, you need to do some "fixing".
I really do hope they will change it.
I agree

A PC is not a PC because of Windows, is a PC despìte of Windows

You guys are all right of course. BUT:
The pratical reason for this is that PC has 2 letters and Windows has 7! I dont think any of you ant PC being exchanged with "Win" ;)

IMHO: PC sounds like an old unflexible dinosaur in times of tablets and smartphones. Very appropriate for Windows :-P

Not "Win" but change PC to "Wine" ;)
Support it for the double win.
