Steam for Linux

Steam for Linux

Play On Linux/Wine Integration?
Curious if this ever came up, and if it would ever happen for titles that are much older and won't ever have native ports.

Why not just adding them as a non-steam game, since any steam integration won't work anyway?
1. There is such a thread in the correct subforum
2. Like blacke4dawn said you can add your scripts to the library
3. If steam starts using wine, then we dont need steam. Do not encourage devs to use wine. Nobody wants this.
Bad idea. Get this in your head, the reason Steam is here is to get Native versions of games. Not to play games in WINE.
You can install windows version of steam in wine for this.
Native client will only EVER use native games.
I found the relevant thread in the subforum. Thanks.
if you don't have native support for a game you should get the dev's of the game to port it to linux otherwise we wouldn't need steam. you could play the games in wine already. I want the games to be native to linux instead of using wine. eventually I want dev's to stop programming for windows all together.
