[BUG] Ibomber Defense Pacific

Hello everybody.
Today, i want to launch the fresh downloaded Ibomber Defense Pacific.

My config is :
Ubuntu 12.10 X64 with xorg-edgers PPA
AMD FX 6100
ASUS M5A97PRO R1
Sapphire Radeon HD6850
2GB DDR3

The report :

I think the problem going from XORG but all the catalyst versions crash my unity destop and steam so i want to use the lastest xorg.

Did you tried this http://www.unixmen.com/ubuntu-12-10-and-amd-catalyst-problem-solved/ ?
I tried it to play to TF2 and it worked (ok, performance's game was poor because HD4350 is crap)

Thank you, but my model is too newer for this driver, i just want to listen the next drivers 12.11^^.
But i think you just have to use the most recent xorg for the best performances
with this ppa you have the lastest linux kernel, the lastest xorg core and drivers.
I know the recents optimisations on their drivers are good for your card.
Be caution,with with PPA, the system can be unstable on graphics.
Personnaly, i have no problems...
After add it, you need to update your system.

Old driver worked for me :D

I tried yours, but i had a lot of problems and games stop working, so i return to the old drivers. With that, i can play ibomber and TF2.

Mine is still not working. I have an Optimus chipset and the game segfaults with either the NVIDIA or the Intel GPU. Is it working for anyone else with a non-AMD GPU?

Exact same here. Intel CPU and graphics if it's any help. Good job I picked a cheap game to buy to test Steam on Linux, eh ?

I can't launch TF2 (stuck validating files) or iBomber. I've been playing World of Goo lol

Same error here. Intel Graphics (HD3000) and CPU (i3) I am using the up to date x drivers, as recommended

Same here, TF2 and ibomber don't work due to GL problems.

My system is an oldish EEE 901 with an ancient Intel 945 chipset

Guess we oldie users are out of luck until drivers or applications are fixed.

It seems the bug is resolve with compiz 9.8.4

I don't use compiz as well, I am on xfce...
