Left 4 Dead 2 has announced for Linux. I bought the game but it is still not available for Linux. When it will be available for Linux ? I know there are subjects for this discussion but let it be a reminder.

When TF2 will run without any issues, then next games should be ported. Expect L4D2 in few weeks - months.

I thought L4D2 was supposed to be the lead game they were porting, so it's a bit of a surprise to see TF2 instead with no L4D2 in sight.

I am with you on that one I have both L4D and L4D2 and they play in wine ok but I am still waiting for the linux port

I think they did TF2 first since it's free, so everyone who's invited to Steam for Linux Beta would have atleast one game to play/

I'm sure L4D2 will be available when Steam Linux gets out of BETA state. For the moment, try TeamFortress 2 or Serious Sam 3 BFE (warning! SS3 needs a very good machine)

The TF2 penguin was the reason it was so busy here tbh.

Too true and I don't see interest dying down, I am just busy playing games. If there is no one to help and I don't have any real problems whats to say?

There is almost no games for linux, and most of them are indie games, and i like indie games, im not waiting for great titles like Skyrim, but most of the Steam Comunity have a decent computer spec, and want to test a lot of games with graphics in their linux. I think left for dead would be great deal for the situation, because i'm searching for games to play and i just see indie and 2d games(most of them). Limited to tf2, Trine 2 and Serious Sam. This waiting for news, at least for me, is making me going to windows more than i'd really like to go.
