For those of you who want your Steam client to look like it belongs on your computer...
This skin gives steam the appearance of being a native Ubuntu application as opposed to it looking like it belongs on Windows.
Download the skin from here[ubuntuone.com]
Credit goes to Martin Kozub for making the theme and giving instructions on how to apply it

Here is how you get it to work:
1) Extract the folder named "Ubuntu" to ~/Steam/skins/
2) Open ~/.steam/registry.vdf with a text editor
3) add the line "SkinV4" "Ubuntu" under HKCU > Software > Valve > Steam

it should look like this:

{
//You will have other crap in here that steam probably needs, so don't ♥♥♥♥ with it

}
}

"Software"

}

Obviously the skin isn't perfect, but it makes steam fit in with the rest of the programs/applications

When I open the steam folder there is no file named registry.vdf (I tried showing hidden files as well)

did you go into the .steam folder as opposed to the Steam folder?
