Issue Report: Update Cancel breaking Steam
May 9th I started updating steam again after a period of not using my laptop for anything but work.

While it was updating all other processes began crashing, I ceased the update by clicking cancel and later tried to reattempt it by starting up steam.

"Fatal Error : %appname%" failed to started " please check network co"... which I can assume was connection but the windows size (or breakline) meant the rest of the message was missing.

I uninstalled steam (uncertain if fully, but I used
sudo apt-get purge steam
Then I attempted to reinstall steam via the command line using
sudo apt-get install steam
There was success but it had issue with the mandb not having space.

When running steam again I got the following dump in the terminal.

Uploading dump (out-of-process) [proxy '']

(Side note, How could I fully purge Steam so as to reinstall it properly?)

I emptied my recycle bin, shifted some files to windows drives from ubuntu and deleted some duplicated films and reinstalled.

This time it has installed. Thanks.
