Dual Monitor Setup - and RO1
Hi, i have 2 different monitors on my maschine, 1x 15" set as secondary display for jabber etc. , 1x 22" set as primary display- if i start RED Orchestra it starts at the small, scecond display- as the login windows also does. Is there a solution for this ?

have the same issue with most games,
open a terminal and execute this command --

xrandr --prop | grep "[^dis]connected" | cut --delimiter=" " -f1

should give you output similar to this

whatever monitor you wish to use , execute this command

xrandr --output "HDMI-0" --primary

for instance this sets my 32" as the monitor that games are displayed on.

you can swicth back by changing the device name.

you should not need to reboot the os or the xserver.

(Ubuntu 12.10 i386)

Thx, but nope. The xrandr changes the primary display from here to there like the nvida-driver does. That is working like it should, i think. But the game ignores it. it starts on the second display, turns my main-screen off und crash if i change from full-screen to windowed mode. Afterwards i have to restore my screen-config. gnfff. looks like i have to stay with windows just for gaming - the next few years :o)
