Mouse control on entering game - L4D2
Strange behaviour I've noted - my movement is restricted to about a 30 degree cone left and right when I join a game; it clears as soon as I enter and exit the chat system. Very odd. Anyone else seen this?

Oops! L4D2.

I can second this. First time I joined a game the mouse defaults to looking straight forward, middle of the screen. I could look up but could not look down below the middle of the screen (initial placement if that adds anything). Pushed escape, brought up the menu, went back into the game, all good. Then played the multiplayer campaign to the end with no issues.

"Protip" (and a slight repetition of epernefferin:

Other games have this same problem and the same solution generally works as well.
For me "rm /dev/input/js0" helps.

Same here and I also just go to the menu and back to the game as Atheisto suggested.
