Any current Ubuntu users planning to upgrade? From what i've heard it's much more stable than 12.10

I like it, have been using the beta release on and off for a bit for the last week or so, and prefer it over 12.10, though my steam is still in my mint install, so haven't tried steam on it yet.

I've upgraded like a month ago, it's not to bad. The Gnome version is far from done though.
Ill wait for others to try steam on 13.04, yea i'm getting lazy :-)

I'll upgrade. Want to see if ATI drivers got better or not, cos TF2 performance is still bad to play :-(

I'm using steam on 13.04 gnome right now, it works quite well. the only issue is that it sometimes makes me unable to click stuff for some weird reason, this is very easy to fix though. Just press ctrl+alt+t, type pkill steam and restart steam. Gaming performance is better than on the older releases.

best way to confirm is with benchmarks :

Though not every single benchmark has both 12.10 and 13.04 in it, most have. As you can see, 13.04 is often faster, and you'll benefit most if you're using open-source drivers. The UI is also, (at least to me), snappier and more responsive than it was in my 12.10 install

Last Sunday's Linux Action Show had a review of Ubuntu 13.04.
It seems like a no-brainer for those sitting on 12.10 and I will most certainly upgrade.

I've been using it for almost 2 months now, never had any problems. Using the latest driver.

I will admit performance with Unity is MUCH improved

I am eagerly awaiting it as I've been waiting for the updates to the intel open-source drivers, and I was too afraid to use xorg-edgers.

It should have an official release tomorrow. I am using the beta with the latest updates. It is definitely the best Ubuntu ever!
