Starting games in big picture mode issue
So I'm running a totally bare install of linux. I've just got XOrg installed. The contents of my .xinitrc file is just "exec steam -bigpicture" . it succesfulyl launches into big picture mode on boot, but once I select a game to play, the screen just goes black and nothing happens. Has anybody had this issue before, and does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks! I'm running ArchLinux x86_64 by the way.

On Arch when I launch games under twm (default X window manager) some textures are missing but games work. But I have 32 bit version.

Do you have video drivers installed for your video card?
List your specs.
