CONFIRMED! Divinity: Original Sin coming to Linux!
http://www.larian.com/

Larian Studios (developers of the Divinity games series) have announced plans to release their upcoming RPG "Divinity: Original Sin" on Linux as well as other PC platforms! Soon, Linux will have a great RPG to immense themselves.

According to kickstarter, the project has been funded fully within a good heap of time:

Divinity: Original Sin is an upcoming RPG which in my eyes would be a combination of Skyrim's vast world to explore with Divine Divinity's traditional RPG environment of a classless system, much like in Skyrim. More details about the game are in the above links.

What more is that the guys at Larian Studios are promising more content the more people who fund their project. I think over the years they've done a great job, and the fact they're joining the trend in Linux gaming is a big plus. Although, they haven't said which 'side' of Linux they're gonna release the game in, I'm guessing it's under Ubuntu. I've already added my support for the project for more content.

What do you guys think?

Skyrim?

No, not Skyrim. I was just saying that Divinity: Original Sin would be like Skyrim where you can pretty much explore a world and be what you play within a classless spectrum, much like Divine Divinity.

I never heard of it before, but if it's as good as it looks, I might pick it up.

Of course! You should definitely read the blogs and watch the videos on youtube regarding Divinity: Original Sin. If you've played previous games in the series, you might get a feel as to what the story is like as well as understanding the setting of the world, therein.

Oh yes! However, they are not on Linux I believe. Here are list of games:

1. Divine Divinity;
2. Beyond Divinity;
3. Divinity 2: Developer's Cut;

My personal favourite out of all three is Divinity 2 because it's a 3rd person RPG, whereas Divine Divinity is in third-person isometric view, which means it follows Diablo-style gameplay. Divinity: Original Sin will follow Divine Divinity's game setting albeit is not a Diablo-styled game, but merely a comparison of which.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely check these out.

Anyone know how the other games run in WIne? I know that the original runs well enough, but I have no idea about the other two
