What's MLL? Mult Level Larketing?

Hint: There are currently 2 and no more AAA games on Linux:
1. HL2
2. DOOM 3

Metro is not even close to either one.

No it's not, it's a major game but it's not considered AAA and widely acclaimed like the two on his list. And he's right the only AAA titles on Linux are old games. Luckily though there are major games coming to Linux and tons of indie support. DOTA2 might be the only one I consider AAA on your list but it's a FTP game.

Metro Last Light was published on all major platforms, received widely specialzed media attention and reviews from major publications, including Gamespot, Eurogamer, IGN, and so on. On metacritic we can count 71 critic reviews for PC alone and more than 350 user reviews. The franchise belonged to one big publisher, THQ (but, of course, not as big as Activision or EA), that published well known and successfull games like the Saints Row series, Company of Heroes, Red Faction, the Dawn of War series and so on. But it went bankrupt, and sold it to Deep Silver. However, this last publisher, Deep Silver, is the owner of Dead Island, a highly sucessful game in its own right. According to CVG: "Metro Last Light debuted at No.1 on the UK all formats all prices chart for the week ended May 18. The 4A Games developed shooter knocked fellow Deep Silver title Dead Island: Riptide down to No.2 following three weeks at the chart summit" and to Examiner.com: "Metro: Last Light holds the number one spot in the weekly sales charts of multiple European territories including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, and the UK", being "Deep Silver's most critically acclaimed game to date".
Now, I never read a clear definition of AAA game. But if this isn't enough to qualify a game as AAA, I really don't know what does.

In my opinion being AAA is something that is present right from the start, before the game gets released. It's not only about budget and the game quality but also anticipation and hype. (Think about Doom 4 or GTA 5) Metro became successful only after it was released. Before that it was only some "russian" game from a dead publisher.

You are right MLL is not a AAA game. It's even better, it's a 4A game. End of discussion.

Saying HL2, and Doom 3 are the only AAA titles it's a way too short list. I would mention L4D2 as well.
And saying M:LL isn't an AAA title it's like saying SR IV isn't one neither. THQ might be dead (Rest in peace THQ), but it was an AAA developer with AAA franchises. Metro was their new baby.
And Serious Sam 3 might not be consider an AAA title but it rocks and it's on Linux.
