Interview With The Developer Of ROCCAT's Open Source Gaming Hardware Drivers For Linux
Source.[www.gamingonlinux.com] I found this to be an interesting read, especially as many still don't know that at least ROCCAT provides support for gaming peripherals on Linux, and with open source drivers at that!

It's the reason why I wanted/Got the KoneXTD. well Mrs bought me it for my B'day.
She then got me a iskuFX for Xmas xD

BTW every thing works the same as the windows driver in *nix. It dont have the flashy GUI like the windows one but its fully functional.

Works well, so yea, HAt off to the guy. He's done a crackin job to be frank!

Mr. Achatz is a very friendly and cooperative person. I have a Roccat Kone, and I asked him to implement some feature in its driver -- and voila, I got it in the next release!
Actually, his drivers were the main reason why I bought a ~US$100 Roccat mouse.

I'm really surprised to read that even with Roccat acknowledgement he seems to be still reverse-engineering the drivers as Roccat gives him the hardware ahead of time rather than giving him the source code/specs

I also have a Kone XTD, and it's one amazing mouse. Especially if you have bigger hands.
I have a local store that carries Roccat products, and the quality seems to be a bit better than your average Razer stuff.
