[Gentoo amd64] Steam complaining about a lack of direct rendering? It might be bug #435094

The Gentoo team make a slight tweak to multilib profiles, and goofed in the process[bugs.gentoo.org].

Solution: re-enable USE="multilib" in /etc/make.conf and re-merge your graphics drivers.

(This thread is only here for the convenience of fellow Gentoo users - if you're running Ubuntu or some other distro and you have this problem, this won't help, sorry)

Thanks for the heads up! I haven't updated my system for close to a week, so I haven't run into the problem, but now I know what to do :)
