Steam for Linux

Library files have disappeared after Steam update, trying to run Duke Nukem 3D
So I just received another Steam update.
I wanted to play Duke Nukem 3D, and then I got this error:

../bin/duke3d: error while loading shared libraries: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

And indead, the file is NOT there.
But when I execute the locate command, I get these results:

/home/skerit/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ /home/skerit/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ /home/skerit/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/ /home/skerit/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/ /home/skerit/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime.old/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ /home/skerit/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime.old/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ /home/skerit/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime.old/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/ /home/skerit/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime.old/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/

Since locate only updates its database every x number of hours, they must have only recently vanished.

Anyone else have any problems with this?
