How do you think Windows 10 will affect the popularity of GNU/Linux?
Some people are saying that more people will move to the user friendly distros as a replacement for windows, WINE is very functional and games are becoming more widely available for GNU/Linux.

The new privacy policy Microsoft, destroy them
Linux is actively developing and wine included.
Analogs of relevant programs exist
Wine > Tera-Online > 60 fps, everything is fine

I don't think it will make a difference. Some Windows users will migrate to Windows 10 fast, some will stay with say W7 for years, but a new Windows version will not make many people leave Windows.

Bad news, windows 10 seems to be very user friendly. The current start menu is a bit awkward, but I'm sure MS will keep on improving it. Don't expect people flee from windows this time.

Nearly nobody reads privacy policies.

IMO Windows 10 is not going to make much of a difference, good or bad, to the Linux community. Even though 10 is slower than 8.1, 10 brings back what everyone wanted before 8 was released, that is the START menu.

A lot of computer users are also unaware of other operating systems besides Windows and OSX.

The only thing that will cause a huge difference is more AAA developers releasing their products on Linux, especially companies like Blizzard Entertainment whom have a very large following.

You can customize the menu.
There were also with the release of Gnome Shell Linux
At the expense of performance I'm not sure Microsoft systems

It is foolish not to read the document and at the same time agree with him
Coming soon in "South Park" about the license agreement :D

Some people even use those "smart phones" from Apple or Google, revealing even more about them. Sorry to say, but most people do not care about online privacy anymore. Or they gave up, whatever.

To be honest, I did scan over some of them - but then, I'm already Linux (solely) user...

I upgraded yesterday to Win 10. Well I really don't know what to think. I would like to switch to Linux. But when Fallout4 is released, I still need Windows. What a mess

Do you have a double boot installation?
If so, did updating overwrite your grub?
