Steam for Linux

Linux Steam
Ok so I used to have Windows and now I have Ubuntu. I downloaded Steam. Now is there a way for only Linux based games to show up in Steam library? Or because I have this account associated with other Windows based games everything will show up? Should I make a new account and then will it only show Linux games? Any good tips on good Linux games? Chivalry? etc... I do not want to do Wine or have anything associated with Windows even if I'll be missing out. What's new with the Steam OS? Will it be ready for mainstream use any time soon?

So, I hope this doesn't come out the wrong way, but have you actually ran the Linux Steam client, because it is fairly obvious. If you go the Library you can select different options for which games to show. One option is 'SteamOs + Linux'.
Yes I just found that out before. Thanks. What games are good? Chivalry is ok? I would guess Civilization? I really liked Skyrim, so any suggestions like that would be great.
By default your games library should only show games that work on your current platform. You need to select 'All Games' from the dropdown menu to see everything (it should be currently set to 'Steam OS + Linux').

If you only want to view Linux games in the store, hover your mouse about the 'Games' drop down menu on the store page and select 'Steam OS + Linux' at the bottom. Alternatively you can use the direct link: http://store.steampowered.com/browse/linux/
The only thing on Linux that I can think of that is even similar to Skyrim would be The Witcher 2. From what I hear the port has performance issues though.
So pretty much, Linux based Steam is garbage and it's a waiting game until Steam OS comes along?
Im unsure if I can get Civ V Complete or just Civ V yeesh

No, the client has nothing to do with it. It's stable and decently written, not garbage. It's the lack of games what the problem is.

However, if you have a recent, powerful computer, you can run windows games with wine. (If you don't have one, you still can, but only with old games will you get playable performance.)
