You're asking for iMac support in the Linux forum.
There's a Mac version of Steam but I assume you're using WINE to play games that aren't natively available, my suggestion would be to delete everything out of your wine drive's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam except for Steam.exe and SteamApps.

Playing Windows games on a Mac PC and asking for help on a Linux forum -- that's a great idea!
It's better to use Windows for Win games, especially if your Mac is a "hacintosh".

"Legit Macs" run on PowerPC. They're pretty much dead for ~10 years already...

My first computer was a Powerbook with a Motorola 68k.
It's been dead for quite some time.

I'm sorry, I was turning your joke into a running gag. Was I mistaken by thinking your post was a joke rather than a absurdly stupid statement?

I still think it's a joke. It just got me feeling a bit nostalgic, is all.

You might want to try deleting the ClientRegistry.blob file. otherwise, try resetting Steam or reinstalling. That happens when it doesn't exit properly.

i just ment it as hes not using a hackintosh..

anyways wine has gotten worse and worse with each new update....
Cybertao Aug 5, 2014 @ 11:57pm
Really? You've frequently insisted here you refuse to use WINE.
