You know what is missing from this game? Steam Achievements !
For me this is a deal breaker , espically given the gameplay where you need to combine stuff and discover new things.

This has been stated before and I think the devs were looking into it, yet still no word on it.

Why do you need achivements to enjoy the game? Do you not enjoy playing the game itself?

It's a game with a heavy collecting element. When the devs have stated that achievements are coming, people probably don't want to collect a bunch of stuff to then find out that they have to re-collect it to earn achievements for their meta-game collection.

So the developers have confirmed that they are making achievements for this game? Is there any additional information on that subject? Since it's been almost a year since your post I am really not getting my hopes up. Is this game abandoned?

Like you say, it's been almost a year since my last post and achievements still aren't there. I wouldn't expect anything :(

They have in game achievements. If you really want to show them off to grow your "e-peen", take a screenshot and upload them. If you seriously can't buy/play a game because they don't have achievements, then you have something wrong with you xD Seriously.

It's not that I can't play it or buy it. I've done both. It's just that when a feature is announced, but then not implemented, I won't go the extra mile in the game to complete everything when a feature (achievements) is later added that then retroactively makes my past accomplishments incomplete.

It's a deal breaker? Your enjoyment of video games is based off of increasing your achievement count, rather than just enjoying the game?

Sometimes... yes. And why is that such a big deal for you? Collecting achievements is a lot of fun. They are like a game inside a game. And you can always check your progress directly through Steam rather than opening the game to do so. They give a lot of replay value to various games. They are part of the enjoyment. Of course they are not necessary. But the reason this is even under discussion is the fact the developers have promised adding achievements but they have not delivered while some people were waiting for them to appear...

I feel like achievements would breathe fresh life into the game - after you've done all the in-game stuff, it feels like the game's over. That's what I like about achievements; they'll bring you back after a game is over.

Maybe the devs will do it to drum up some interest in the game again? Perhaps before a new release from their studio? Who knows?
