Is there a way to "lock" items?

I want to experiment a bit with storing one-time items for the end of the game, or burning them in weird combinations, but I always accidentally burn them at some point during the many hours of gameplay (e.g. what would happen if you keep every item SP ever sent you, and then blow them up all at once?)

Is there a way to "lock" an item in my inventory so I don't accidentally burn it?

Would be nice, but I guess that's part of the challenge of this game. So nope.
